Kolbus America recently appointed Anissa Smalls to the position of Director of Finance and Accounting. She will work out of the Huntersville, North Carolina office and will report to Kolbus America President, Jeff Dietz. Anissa comes to Kolbus America with a great deal of education, finance knowledge and experience. She holds  a Master of Business Administration (MBA)  from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management and Economics from SUNY Empire State University.

Kolbus America is celebrating 300 years worth of work anniversaries from 10 of its most diligent employees. While staffing concerns continue to plague the corrugated industry and much of the country, Kolbus America continues to expand its workforce and celebrate its incredibly dedicated team. The unwavering dedication and vast knowledge of these individuals has contributed to the shared success of Kolbus America and Hycorr Machines for the past 50 years. Many of these employees have built strong, trusted relationships with Kolbus America customers, in their customer-facing roles, while others have worked tirelessly behind the scenes, to build and assemble machines in the Kalamazoo, Michigan, manufacturing facility.

The Concord, NC, based converter, Complete Design and Packaging, has installed the Kolbus MultiNova compact multi-point gluer to aid their business in providing an array of custom corrugated packaging and displays. The MultiNova gluer specializes in converting small to large sized run lengths of straight-line and crash-lock box work.

Kolbus America is pleased to announce the relocation of its headquarters to Huntersville, NC. Effective  May 2023, the company transitioned operations to North Carolina, from its previous location in Cleveland, Ohio. Kolbus America will retain its presence in Kalamazoo, MI. In addition, the company announces the hiring of several new positions in an effort to continue raising the bar, providing an exceptional customer experience.

Marquis Book Printing, a leading book manufacturer based in Toronto, recently installed their new, highly acclaimed Kolbus DA 370 casemaker. This significant investment not only reinforces Marquis' commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service but also represents a milestone for the North American book industry, as it is only the second DA 370 casemaker installed in the region.

The company expanded its machinery for box production in 2022 with a Box Line Taper BLT 200 and a Box Line Wrapper BLW 200. The taper is used to erect the cardboard blank and fix the sides with hot sealing tape. The resulting box is then wrapped and laminated on the wrapper. The wrapping is done using lateral forming plates instead of moulded blocks, which greatly simplifies format and job changes.

Chicago-based packaging manufacturer, Kodiak LLC, has invested in a four-color Kolbus Hycorr 135" rotary die cutter. The machine is planned to start up in May. The Kolbus Hycorr 135" rotary die cutter is a robust, maintenance friendly and reliable machine that will increase Kodiak’s production capabilities and improve overall efficiency in the process of corrugated converting.

One of the world’s largest book printer and bindery has recently installed the first Kolbus DA 370 casemaker in North America. The machine was installed in November and is already producing exquisite religious books. The investment raises the company’s value to their customers and provides them with the prestige of being the only company in North America with the ability to produce product at this speed and of this fine quality
