Kolbus America continues to grow, relocates headquarters to NC

Kolbus America is pleased to announce the relocation of its headquarters to Huntersville, NC. Effective  May 2023, the company transitioned operations to North Carolina, from its previous location in Cleveland, Ohio. Kolbus America will retain its presence in Kalamazoo, MI. In addition, the company announces the hiring of several new positions in an effort to continue raising the bar, providing an exceptional customer experience.

Marquis Book Printing Installs Cutting-Edge Kolbus DA 370 Casemaker

Marquis Book Printing, a leading book manufacturer based in Toronto, recently installed their new, highly acclaimed Kolbus DA 370 casemaker. This significant investment not only reinforces Marquis' commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service but also represents a milestone for the North American book industry, as it is only the second DA 370 casemaker installed in the region.

 Growth Spurt with Luxury Packaging

The company expanded its machinery for box production in 2022 with a Box Line Taper BLT 200 and a Box Line Wrapper BLW 200. The taper is used to erect the cardboard blank and fix the sides with hot sealing tape. The resulting box is then wrapped and laminated on the wrapper. The wrapping is done using lateral forming plates instead of moulded blocks, which greatly simplifies format and job changes.

Kodiak upgrades capabilities with Kolbus Hycorr 135

Chicago-based packaging manufacturer, Kodiak LLC, has invested in a four-color Kolbus Hycorr 135" rotary die cutter. The machine is planned to start up in May. The Kolbus Hycorr 135" rotary die cutter is a robust, maintenance friendly and reliable machine that will increase Kodiak’s production capabilities and improve overall efficiency in the process of corrugated converting.
